"Wisdom's service was perfect in all respects."

1. How do you select the caregivers that work for Wisdom Home Care Plus?
All of our caregivers are carefully interviewed and screened. Complete and thorough professional reference and criminal background checks are standard. All caregivers are bonded and insured. Our caregivers also receive ongoing training and education from Wisdom.

2. Do you pay the caregivers or does the client?
Wisdom Home Care Plus pays the caregivers directly. We manage all of the payroll requirements, such as social security and unemployment taxes, as well as worker's compensation.

3. How do you choose a caregiver that would be right for my situation?
Our one-to-one philosophy promotes the careful matching of caregiver to client.

4. How do you monitor what the caregivers are doing in the home?
We provide, free of charge, a Client Care Coordinator. Coordinators perform regular, on-site supervision of caregivers to ensure quality care. Think of your Coordinator as your personal Wisdom Home Care Plus customer service representative.

5. Can you provide private-duty home care services in other places than a residential home?
Yes. We can offer services in retirement communities, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and hospitals. We can even escort clients to medical appointments or special occasions, such as weddings.

6. Is there an additional charge for evening or weekend services?
No.

7. Do you have live-in caregivers?
Wisdom employs both live-in and hourly caregivers to match the needs of your individual situation.

8. Are you available 24-hours a day?
Yes. Our professional staff is available around the clock to meet your needs.

9. What is "Wisdom Consultants"?
Wisdom Consultants is a team of licensed Geriatric Care Managers, either social workers or nurses, who specialize in eldercare. They provide a complete range of professional services, from a one-time housing options meeting to ongoing weekly, monthly or even daily contact as requested. For information about specific services offered by Wisdom Consultants, please contact us at (800) 562-5555.

10. What are Geriatric Care Managers?
A geriatric care manager (GCM) is a professional who specializes in helping older people and their families in making decisions about their care. A GCM essentially functions as an additional "professional" family member for seniors whose own children may live at a distance or who are, for any reason, unable to deal with the multiple concerns at hand.

11. Who typically uses the services of a Geriatric Care Manager?
We usually see that a husband or wife caring for their spouse, or an adult child caring for their parent(s) contacts us for geriatric care management services. Professionals such as bank trust officers, attorneys, financial advisors, physicians and social service providers also utilize our services on behalf of their clients.

12. What are your fees for private duty home care and geriatric care management services?
Our fees vary based upon the needs of each client. Please contact us at (800) 562-5555 and ask for a Client Services Coordinator to discuss your particular situation.

13. Why should I choose Wisdom Eldercare?
Wisdom's 20 years of experience and knowledge of the needs of older adults is unsurpassed. We are a privately owned, family business that focuses on providing outstanding one-to-one care for our clients and a high level of personal attention to their families.
